Welcome Message

Welcome to Ballet Strength & Foundations 🩰

I’m so excited to have you here!

This program is designed to support your ballet training beyond the studio — helping you build the strength, control and foundational technique that every strong dancer relies on.

Each session is short but intentional so you can make consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed by adding more to an already busy schedule. Think of it as your at-home training plan to refine the details that make a real difference in your dancing.

With regular use, you’ll develop strength, improve flexibility and build the stability needed for cleaner technique, better balance and more confidence in class and on stage.

These video workouts are also perfect to use as warm-ups before competitions, auditions and performances — helping you feel prepared to dance your best.

You don’t need a ballet barre to complete these classes. A chair, countertop or sturdy surface works just as well. If you do have access to a barre at home, feel free to use it — but everything in this program is designed to be accessible wherever you are.

Stay consistent, be patient with yourself and trust the process — that’s where real progress happens.

Can’t wait to train with you beyond the studio 💛
Miss Mackenzie

Barre Foundations: Learn the Exercises

Build a strong understanding of the foundational BTS ballet barre exercises used throughout the series, including pliés, tendus, dégagés, fondus and grand battements.

The Barre Foundations session focuses on alignment, turnout and proper muscle engagement to help you move with greater control and confidence. Miss Mackenzie’s technique tips and ballet terminology explanations are here to help you better understand each movement.

This class is demonstrated at two levels — you’ll be guided by two dancers in the video. If you’re newer to ballet, follow the younger dancer for a more accessible option, or follow the older dancer for a more advanced challenge.

For your at-home setup, use a chair, countertop, or stable surface as your barre. Aim for a height around your elbow when your arm is relaxed, allowing your hand to rest naturally without lifting or dropping the shoulder.
